Advice for Road Runners: The Brooks Women's Ghost 16 Running Shoes now feature DNA LOFT v3 cushioning. While this offers a very similar experience to the previous model, the cushioning is softer, more energetic, and lighter.

Underfoot Feel

The DNA LOFT v3 cushioning in the Brooks Ghost 16 Running Shoes offers a balanced underfoot feel. By this, we mean it doesn't feel ultra soft, but it feels very protective.

One of the main benefits of the nitrogen-infused foam is the energy return on offer. In comparison to previous models of the Ghost, this model should feel the most energetic under your feet.

Even though these are neutral running shoes, the midsole should feel very stable.

An updated RoadTack rubber offers better durability.

Upper Fit

The Brooks Ghost 16 Running Shoes fit very similarly to the previous version. Meaning you should be able to transition into the latest edition with ease.

An engineered air mesh upper should feel softer and more comfortable.

Ideal Run Type

There are no doubts about what the Brooks Women's Ghost 16 Running Shoes are best suited to: slower paced runs. Yes, the cushioning is responsive enough for some steadier efforts. However, the cushioning is likely to feel most comfortable when your goal is to take it easy.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
